#9 Love Letters

As a sincere student of subject self-help and spirituality, I believe in serving people and spreading glad tidings of God all around, but there are some people who envy your each step, so it is worthless to spare your priceless time to serve them. Leave those personalities. They can affect your blood pressure. There are some people who talk about others in their absence, leave them also because they are the same people who talk about you in your absence. But, do not forget the people who care for you and helped you at some moment in your life. Write love letters for them.
I still remember the words my father said to me once, ‘Nakul, everyone will find happiness around you if you have money and you are willing to spend on them.’ He was obviously right. And I think time is money, so I believe in spending time on people. It is a funny thing about us that we waste so much time in impressing those who do not care for us. And eventually, we lose those who are near to us.
For a rude person like me, who is habitual of using dozens of curses to complete one sentence, it looks funny to speak love words for others. For me, writing is the best way to express myself without any interruptions. I believe writing is a brilliant idea to make people know what you think about them. It gives wings to the emotions so that our words can reach to the sub-conscious mind of others and settle their till last breath. ‘Yaaden yaad aati h, baaten bhul jati hai,’ a Hindi song I often sing when I miss my family and old friends.

I behave stupid all the time; ask so many questions; and irritate all those who surround me.   I do all kind of non-sense only to contribute some happy moments in their life. People who are near to me know me well. They are the same people who make me write love letters. I spend two hours a week in writing love letters for my dear once. I think writing love letters and sparing a little time to call an old friend can make him feel how much important he/she is in your life. This month I’ve decided to write letters for my family and few friends. You know, it is just beautiful seeing your love in a wide-curvy smile with the moist eyes. Remember, no one is going to recall your good grades and good presentations on your death bed.

#8 Writing — A fucking and a pleasing profession

As a writer I believe there are no Saturdays and Sundays for writers. Writing is a solitary task. What I experience is that sometimes writing is frustrating. We have to read two books a week. We have to notice every shit happening around us. We have to shut the doors for our friends, family and love. Sometimes we spend the whole day staring at the blank white sheet and typing and doing backspace the same paragraph again and over again. We have to be real and transparent by undoing our pants and unbuttoning our shirts like a slut in a hope that readers may like us and pay us. It is very depressing for us to see the rejected manuscripts from publishers. It is miserable to see money flowing out in purchasing buckets of tea and coffee every day.  People say writers are rich. However, they are wrong. ‘You can earn more money than writers by running a gas station,’ said an Indian author, Khushwant Singh.
But whenever I look in my past, I found only a line which curves a smile on my face. The line says: ‘The greatest pleasure is in doing what people say you can’t do.’ What I come to know when you start working on yourself, people stop talking to you and start talking about you. Equally apt couplets of a poet Mohammad Iqbal comes in mind for those people:

Khuda tujhey kisee toofan sey aashnaa kar dey
Ki tere behr kee maujon mein iztiraab nahen

‘May God grant you the experience of a storm:
The waves of your life’s ocean are too calm.’

Sometimes a thought to quit writing comes in my mind, but then when I think deeply, something inside me asks, what else I can do other than writing? And then, like every time, a question appears in front of me: ‘What is the use of life?’ No use. Human beings born, grow up, get placements, pay their bills and die. The important thing is to live the path we are going through, to become better, to serve others and to have dreams. Robin Sharma often uses a Sanskrit saying in his books which left a deep impression on my soul. He says, ‘When you were born, you cried and the world rejoice. Now, it’s a time to live in such a way when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.’ That is also a reason why I write self-help articles.
Though sometimes writing is a frustrating job for me, but now it’s a part of my soul. It is my girlfriend who does nothing other than wasting my time without paying me back but gives solace and heals my wounds. I’m glad that I don’t waste my time in gossiping and sleeping. I’m doing better than myself with every passing day. In fact, after reading over hundred books I feel like ocean of knowledge. I’m creative and do work out of my comfort zone while sitting comfortably on the chair and all in all, I don’t give damn what people think about me. A book and a chair all I need to spend my life. Fame and money has a fleeting hold so it is better to invest in mind. Few lines I wrote for the one who bestowed me a gift:

Ae Khuda! Gar na dee hoti tune mjhe yeh syahi
Na mein thjhe jaanta hota na hota tera aalam
Na mein rota or na hi pakdi hoti tere naam ki kalam

#7 Drugs Mind Meditation Miracles

#10 Drugs Mind Meditation Miracles

Our mind is a tool to unlock the infinite secrets of this universe, if used in a high state. High state means when it gets the ability to concentrate on one subject for longer period of time and knows how to be in present. Human beings get 60000 thoughts every day. To work out the information from one thought is difficult. To avoid all the 59999 thoughts and to hold a grip on one subject for a long period of time is hard. If we see in past, we would find that singers, musicians, yogis, writers, scientists… had discovered unbelievable miracles in themselves. The discoveries they had done is amazing; the songs and dance they had performed were unique. The only thing helped them to unfold their big fortunes and to unleash their creativity was their mind. Mind is a brilliant instrument. There are numerous ways to get the big fortunes in life such as asking from God, hard work, sincerity, patience and so on. Among the above ways, getting high state of mind is the another path to become creative and complete tasks in short period of time. This blog will give you little information about unfolding the creativity through drugs and meditation.
When we get new and unique ideas? We get ideas when our mind works slowly and refrain itself from all the distraction and fears. When we live in present and forget about our future and past our mind touches the infinite intelligence of the universe. I’ve listened people saying that a man consume alcohol because he wants to escape from his present and his current circumstances. However, it is not true. People takes drugs not to escape from the present but to live in present and to forget the illusionary fears of future and regrets of past. Drugs slowdown the number of thoughts per minute and stop the thoughts playing with emotions. One of my friends told me about the feeling on getting high on a famous drug, LSD. According to him the trip on LSD is so much effective that he can count the particles of the smoke puffed out from his cigarette. Most of the artists use this fact to increase their productivity. Albert Einstein, Bob Marley, Ghalib and Leonardo da Vinci are the few famous examples who had shown miracles of the universe to us by getting high on drugs.
But, when I further moved in the subject of creativity, I found some astonishing facts about mind. What I come to know is that our sub-conscious mind is powerful. If we do mastery on our sub-conscious mind, we can even predict the future also. The infinite knowledge of the universe is already is in our mind. What we need is to separate our-self from our mind which drugs can never do. Getting high on drugs or alcohol can take you to heaven for short period of time but when its effect gets reduced you would again find yourself in the web of your daily life problems. The other way to build up your mind to make it more productive is meditation and positive messages. By doing meditation or reading positive thoughts every day one can achieve the level of greatness. Meditation means oneness with the inner soul. The effect of meditation is for forever. There are yogis in this world who have touched the infinite intelligence and serving human beings. ‘After ingesting ten pills of LSD, I came to conclusion that meditation is higher than these pills,’ a statement of a yogi I read in the book ‘Be here now’ by Baba Raamdas. Similarly, by reading positive messages everyday one can unfold his big fortune. Creative thoughts begin coming when you free yourself with all the worries and start believing in your abilities. Holy Bible, Holy Quran and Shri Guru Granth Sahib are the best books what I come across for imbuing my subconscious mind with faith and hope.
I want to end up this article here as there is no limit to write on human mind. I know the content of the article is not written in detail, but I believe that it has poured some knowledge in your subconscious mind. I’ve experienced tremendous change in my life after reading the following the books. I hope these books would enlighten you also.
1.      Power of subconscious mind by Joseph Murphy
2.      Think and Grow rich by Napoleon Hill
3.      Meditation by Swami Vivekananda
4.      Be here now by Ram Dass
5.      Mind is your business by Sadhguru
6.      Thinking fast and slow by Daniel Kahneman

#6 Boys! Understand the Girls.

Today, when I was sauntering about my University, dozens of lovely girls with their boyfriends passed by me, reminding me of the delightful days I spent with my girlfriends. Girls have always made my journey of life wonderful. I’ve tried my best to not to propose every girl whom I meet, but I always failed to resist the girls to make me fall in them. It is the smile, honeyed voice and beautiful heart of girls who propels me to run for them.
I still remember I was in sixth grade when I fell in love with a senior girl who was in seventh grade. Few months later, she became my girlfriend and I became a love guru. We broke up after few months. I cried for several days. I was hurt, but life has to go on. After that incident make-up break-up became a part of my love life. But, whenever I think about the time I spent with her, I laugh out loudly while holding my stomach. It is because her name starts with the alphabet ‘N’ and ends up at ‘L’ and my name, Nakul, has a similar story of alphabet ‘N’ and ‘L’. Now, I could see my friends standing on the school canteen and singing those alphabets in a union: ‘NL… NL… NL…’ and if you read these words again and over again, you will find the right meaning which simply says: ‘Anal… Anal… Anal…’
Controlling hormones are compulsive. The sweet memories of love accompanied a man throughout his life; it’s unforgettable. Whenever he looks back in his past, he finds himself loving and caressing his beautiful partner. This blog is for my friends who always say me, ‘Nakul Bhai setting karaa de yar.’ I hope the points I’m telling you about girls will help you to understand them better:

1.      If a girl talks normally with everyone and behaves like a psycho on seeing you then she is in love with you.
2.      A woman is having four times shyness than a man and that is the reason why boys have to propose the girls first.
3.      If she starts hating and ignoring you then there is no use to run for her. She doesn’t actually need you. Change the girl.
4.      A woman, by nature, is liar, courageous, deceitful, foolish, greedy, impious, and cruel. These are the innate attributes of a woman — Chanakya
5.      Talk with her and then ignore her is the key to make a beautiful girl think about you. “Beautiful girls behave most when you ignore them” — 2 states by Chetan Bhagat.
6.      She is in love with herself first and then with her brother and at last with her husband or family.
7.      More than fifty percent of her mobile space is stuffed with selfies.
8.      Mirror and clothes is her best friend.
9.      Women jealous of women. If you find a group of girls living together happily then you are not living on earth.
10.  If she often smiles at you without any reason then she is interested in you. Interested in you does not mean love in you. :D
11.  She needs a hero, not a rowdy. She needs a person who is a good listener, not a chatter-box. She needs an entertainer, not a joker.
12.  She loves talking about herself. She loves buttering from the man she is in love with.
13.  Don’t tease her or mess up with her. She is having six times more courage than a man.
14.  She knows how to take money out from your pocket. Do not hide anything from her.
15.  She also knows how to help you in your hard times. Do not tell her. Love her.
16.  Every girl find something cute in you if you are rich or have a unique quality, but no girl can continue if you are not able to spend even few minutes with her.
17.  Women are gullible. She can easily come in the talks of others. Hide her from your friends and people. The world is nasty and envies your each step.
18.  A hug and a love kiss is what all she needs to free herself from all the insecurities.
19.  She does not like her man talking with other girls.
20.  A respectful smile is all you need is to impress a good image in her mind and heart.

Impress her like this:
1.      Before approaching her, fall in love with her. Your hormones will help your brain to deliver love dialogues to her. See her as a divine beauty not a toy.
2.      Hold on. Do not behave like a child crying for chocolates. Give her time to investigate about you. Remember, woman interested in you knows everything about you, even if she has never asked it from anyone. Ears of walls and girls are always open.
3.      A man has six seconds for his first impression. Good clothes and a curvy smile can do 60% of the work.
4.      70% of girls don’t like man with beard and moustache. Light beard and moustache is good to impress her.
5.      She loves eating food. To reach her heart, the easiest way is to go by her stomach.
6.      Don’t have a lot of money to offer her pizzas and rolls? Offer her chocolate or fruit shakes. I’ve done this many times and most of the girls felt her appetite full.
7.      Talk about her field of interest and shut up till she stops. Everyone loves to talk about themselves.
8.      Render compliments; hit her lightly with your elbows while walking and then pass a lovely smile.
9.      Do not make her afraid by saying you will attempt suicide if she will not come in your life.
10.  Make her laugh. ‘Simple hai! Hasi to Phasi Bhai.’

Now, I have told you what I’ve experienced and learnt in the company of girls. But like every time, I want to remind you that we do not have thousands years to live. Life is here today and it is gone today. Do not take the magical words to your graves.

#5 Become Better

I want to share a story about a man and a horse I came across while reading Teachings of Buddha by Thich Nhat Hanh. A man was riding a horse and it appeared that he was going for some important work. On his way, another man, standing alongside the road asked him, ‘Where are you going?’ The first man replied, ‘Don’t know! Ask the horse.’ This is also our story. We are too often busy in our busy life that we don’t have time to think about our self. It looks that we are not running the day, but the day is running us; we are not living but surviving it. Our life has become like a leaf floating in water which is moving along with the thrust of wind. I courteously want to ask you to ponder, ‘Do we not deserve to spend few hours to improve our self?
I believe that the only purpose of our life is to serve the people selflessly. As truthful towards my responsibility to help others, I want to share few points that will help you to live a better life.

·         Comparison: Not only expectations are the cause of all disappointments but comparison also leads to displeasures. Life is not about to compare yourself with others, but it is to make yourself better than yesterday. When you start comparing yourself with the person who is stronger than you then unsurprisingly you’ve to confront distresses in your life. And if you compare yourself with the weaker being then the day is not far when your pride knocks you down on your face. Accept everyone is different and born with different qualities. Believe in yourself and get up every day to improve yourself.

·         Have Faith: I often see many students are filled with fear of uncertain future. I’ve read somewhere, people do not know about their present and they are talking about future. Future is an illusion. Present alone is the truth. I know it’s difficult to avoid the fear of future. Sometimes, I also get trapped by these illusionary fears but if you have faith on God you will easily tackle it. Faith is like living being, the more you feed it the stronger it will become. I read the text of Holy Bible, Holy Quran and Shri Guru Granth Sahib again and over again to build my faith. God has plan for you to make you not to break you, to give you hope and a good life.
·         Become Strict: The more you strict on yourself the better your life will be. Build a new good habit. According to studies, it takes sixty-six days to make a new habit your daily ritual. In past few years, I made several good habits — reading book, keeping journal, waking up early, exercising— that is helping me to avoid procrastination. Now, I’m working on writing diary every day before going to bed. It’s little bit difficult to make a new habit, but remember what Robert Puller said, ‘Good habits, once established are just as hard to break as are bad habits.’

·         Do Something Extra: The real development of our body and mind is when we stretch our self beyond our limitations. Every skill is only mastered by focusing it day in day out. Set a goal of doing the things which you feel hard. Record your goal on a paper and fix a time limit to complete it. Like, I read six books a month, but this month my target is to read ten books. By spending few minutes extra on the work you love, you can get more out of your life. Remember, you can never give your best in the things you don’t love. It is better to leave and go in a search of the things you love.

·         Bless Everyone: Bless everyone whom you meet. While shaking hands or sitting and walking alone think well about others. Caress the trees and plants on your way and thank them for rendering oxygen for our survival. Make someone laugh or do one act of kindness. Make a stranger your friend or call an old friend to tell you still remember the good moments you had shared with him. When you start improving yourself, you will begin to unfold the enormous powers lying inside you. The more pure is your energy the more you have influence on others, the more you have friends and the stronger your speech will become. Serve people and let see God serving you.

#4 Porn And Sex....

Porn and Sex

‘Nakul, the quality of laptop is defined by the quantity of porn, not by its F-processor or F-Ram or F-Graphics,’ said one of my friends while watching porn. I usually love to write fiction and self-help, but the word porn drew me towards it like it has drawn several boys of the universe.  What is sex? It is an intercourse of two bodies and when it is mingled with love it becomes a way to meet God. It’s a kaam to meet Rama. But, if sex is associated with lust, it results in harassment of women and if someone records it, it becomes pornography. A lot of wicked movies has made intentionally and has only showed how to disrespect a woman in different postures.
‘Sex is a poison and practicing it is a sin,’ is what many Indians speaking, but is it what they are thinking? I would glad to write the words of Khushwant Singh, a well-known Indian writer, which reflects the real Indians, ‘We Indians are very interested in sex, we have curiosity and the drive and we pretend to be prudish and conservative.’ When Lord Krishna manifests himself in 1608 forms- one for each Gopi- and proceeds to make love with them, then is his Karma making him impure? No. Sex in the pure and trustful form is the way to unite with God because the greatest pleasure in the world comes while doing sex only. It is an experience likely one gets in a deep meditation. Some experts have said the risk of getting AIDS is almost negligible if the sex is performed with love. ‘Give sex a sacred status in your life. At the time of coitus, we are close to God,’ said Acharya Rajneesh. But, what about the sex we have seen in immoral movies?
What I’m listening every day is that Indian government has done a blunder after banning porn in the country and now, the day is not far when the rape cases will reach its zenith. However, the ban is uplifted few hours ago because of the threat of increasing rape cases. But, a question knocking me again and over again, is there a woman stands, in the mind while masturbating? When I was in grade ninth I came to know what blue film is, but today, I have seen small children in between the age group of 10-14 giggling and wagging tongue in between the lips while watching it. The little children whom I had seen playing cricket and football in underwear, now can easily be seen scratching the same small pants while ogling the little girls ‘What we shall sow, we shall harvest,’ reads holy Bible and Shri Guru Granth Sahib. What seeds we put in our self will come out in future as our character.
Uplifting the ban from porn can never control the rape cases in India. Porn is only teaching on what body part a man should hit to harass her or how a teen boy should spend hours to make his penis ready for few minutes of hand exercise. I’ve never come across any porn which has showed us how to love a woman or how to make a pure sex. The only way to reduce the crime rates is to give education. Now, if you argue that a lot of educated people are doing rapes and I’m speaking rubbish then I respectfully want to tell you that those people are known as padhe-likhe anpadh (Well educated illiterate people). Education does not mean to get good grades in class and get placed in top companies, but education means how we behave, what we talk and how much respect we give to others.

#3 An Old Woman (Fiction)

One Sunday morning when I was sitting in the boundary of my house, feeding tidbits to street dogs, I saw an old woman with a spherical water vessel of brass in hand, waddling towards the peepal tree. She had small eyes and her face looked as though it was amalgamated with several pale lines. She was dressed very simply in white salwaar-suit, and her hair doused with oil. As she came near by me, I bowed to greet her. She didn’t respond and made her way to peepal tree. I did not feel bad and continued to look at her.
The old woman was aunt Jeny and I had always heard everyone calling her aunty. She was aunty of my parents, neighbors and their children, milkman, postman and even the aunty of uncle Kamesh, who took sanyaas from government services two months ago. I often wonder that she might not be aunty of her parents. I could not remember her looking young. She looked as old as peepal tree and her hair as long as the sprawled stems. Every morning, from past eight years she came to the rickety temple, setup under the peepal tree. As she sprinkled the water from vessel onto the iron bars which girt the temple, I could see the peace and calmness on her face. I do not know what power lies in the name of God which gives solace to everyone. I have never come across anyone who could say himself as a true atheist. I met atheists but never true atheists. Often people begin to say them atheist when some tragedy happens in their life and then the same people secretly pray from God to take them out of the hard situations. A couplet I wrote few months ago after heavily drunk:

Ae khudaa ye kaisa hai tera nasha
Nashe mein bhi bolta hun ae khuda ae khuda
O God! What addiction of you I have got
In inebriety too, I mumble O God! O God!

Then she poured the water onto the bark of tree and began to swipe off the blots. The stains clung to it when children hit the mucky ball while playing street-cricket. She was very calm and kind-hearted. She had never forbid any children to play there, nor did she feel resentment. But while meditating her prayers, she requested the children to stop the game in a fear that the ball might hit her. Then she would abide her prayers and the game of cricket would begin again. After wiping off the bark, she kindled incense stick and wheeled her hand in front of the portraits of Hindu Gods. Then she tucked the sticks, somewhere, near the portraits and began to mumble the lines from a small red book which had God Hanuman as its cover.
Aunt Jeny along with her family came to our street, twenty five years ago, when I was not even born. I had never heard about her husband from anyone, nor did I ask. Long years ago, her son married with Deepa,. The brother of Deepa, Mr. Chawla caught me outside his house when I was waiting for her daughter (with whom I had a love affair) to arrive on the boundary of the house. Mr. Chawla slapped me twice and menaced if I would come again near the house then he would break my hands and legs. The only thing I noticed that day was the bottoms of Mr. Chawla were more rounded and bigger than his beautiful, arrogant wife. What he needs is to be cut the bottoms and dangle it on the main-door of house to ward off evil eye and spirits.
As aunt Jeny slapped the book and placed it over the brass vessel, she softened red color sindhur on the top of portrait by her ring finger. Then she slipped into her chappals and waddled round the tree. After few more prayers, she began her way back to home. The calmness on her face again seemed to sink in dejection. The pallor lines again began to glint on her face. As she came near by me, I bowed to greet her. She didn’t respond. I watched her till she entered her house.
The only words which left in my mind were of Quran, Surah 3 AL ‘IMRAN:

Kullu nafsin zaiktul maut
Every soul has to taste the death.
